Fujitsu ScanSnap Scanners

Fujitsu has quite a few scanner models available.  For the home or small busines they have the ScanSnap line.


Fujitsu ScanSnap 300 Scanner

The Scansnap S300 mobile color scanner is a perfect example of packing a lot of features into a small package. It is the smallest automatic document feeding scanner that is full duplex (scans both sides). It scans at 150 dpi in color and 300 dpi in black and white and it can scan up to 8 pages per minute.  It can handle a maximum paper size of 8.5 X 14.17 inches including the following paper sizes:

  • A4
  • A5
  • A6
  • B5
  • B6
  • Business card
  • Letter
  • Legal

You can fit up to 10 sheets in the automatic document feeder and the scanner uses a USB interface.

Fujitsu ScanSnap 1500 Scanner

The next model up is the very popular ScanSnap 1500. It has the following features:

  • Optical resolution of up to 600 dpi
  • Color & Grayscale at 300 dpi and B&W at 600 dpi
  • 20 pages per minute / 40 images per minute
  • Handles paper Sizes of A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, Business card, Letter, Legal
  • Maximum size of 8.5 x 14.7 in.
  • Up to 50 sheets can load into Atuomatic sheet feeder
  • USB 2.0 interface

The ScanSnap S510 has similar features to the models listed above but can also scan right to searchable PDF format as well as directly to many applications such as Excel, Word or Power Point.
